The Porowhita Iti represents the circle of life, the connection between all things and the harmony found in simplicity. Its rounded form reflects balance, unity, and the continuity of whakapapa (genealogy).
Smaller in scale yet rich in meaning, this pendant carries the mana and mauri of Aotearoa. Hand-carved from genuine New Zealand pounamu, each piece reveals its own natural variations in tone and texture, making every taonga one of a kind.
Crafted at Sands Carving Studio, a collective of master carvers including Alex Sands, Yuki Tanaka, Samuel Potter, Michael Matchitt, John Mayo, Jeremy Walsh and Alicia Taylor. United in their passion for pounamu, they combine Māori heritage, exceptional craftsmanship and contemporary design to create taonga (treasures) that honour the land and culture of Aotearoa.
